Thanks for 2007

2007 was a very good year for the Lost Souls, highlights being the launch of our daytime party Bogged Out? @Public Life back in March where our beloved Henry Horse was born from a very spontaneous whip round, to be honest our Saturday daytimes haven't been quite the same since we took on our little toilet venture. Its been a lot of fun being joined by friends and guests from around the UK such as Manchesters Mistress De Funk (Radio 1), Newcastles Bigger Than Jesus (Silver Planet), Nottinghams Max Cooper (Thrash Jelly, Firefly), London based D DUB (Berwick Street), chart topper Rui Da Silva (Kismet)...

Also parties at The Egg and The Cross went down a storm, surely its not almost a year since we all squeezed into the Eggs loft for that insane party in January. We took our fucked up electronic sounds to, would you believe it? Pacha! in February, slightly disturbing more than a few funky house heads. Kriss Darang & Junior J (Devore) helped us rock the Cross in March, we made our Warehouse party debut thanks to Issst in April.

Chris Stanford @The Cross

We then returned to Abstract @The Egg in May for a truly inspiring party in the basement with our now German techno friends Misc. (Sender Records) who played possibly one of the best Live sets we've seen this year.
In June we had the pleasure of joining Jus The One? Vs Back to Basics @ SeOne followed by more warehouse parties and more appearance's at our favourite clubs we felt we were ready to take things the in the direction we want to go. Underground...

Lost Souls aim is to showcase very talented individuals, whether its world class international artists or the best upcoming UK based DJ/ Producer while at the same time putting on party's that are fun for good people creating unforgettable moments (unless you take too many drugs, NOT advised).

So over the last few months we have begun our new project carrying forth our name within its title, We Are Lost Souls. With two successful parties held at The Key and Club Aquarium behind us that showcased performances from the likes of Phil Kieran (Cocoon), Niederflur (M_NUS), Perc (Kompakt), Le Chic (International Deejay Gigolos), Misc. (Sender), Avus (Border Community), Zentex (Kickboxer). Not forgetting the Dubstep guys Shackleton (Crosstown Rebels) and Appleblim (Skull Disco) who have been the deciding point, that dubstep is definitely a sound to be incorporated in some of our future events.

Dario @Public Life

Finishing off the year with an epic session at the bog for another New Years Eve party, only this time with a slighlty twisted non themed fancy dress request. Noddy, smurfs, buddists, ewoks, a mimer, Lara Croft, cowboys, a priest, 80's throw backs, gangstas and of course Henry the magician.

So what does 2008 behold for us? Well, certainly more parties including the re-launch of our Public Life residencey as the Lost Souls: Techno Club, We Are Lost Souls will be going to new levels, more great artist bookings and more than likely the launch of Lost Souls Recordings.

Henry

All the Lost Souls would like to thank, all the people who have attended our events over this last year, the guest djs and residents without you everything wouldn't have worked out as well as it has!
